Description

The RIG is a self-braking descender device fitted with a handle that allows comfortable control of the descent. The AUTO-LOCK system allows you to position and then immobilize yourself very quickly, without having to manipulate the handle or make a key lock. Once locked, the rope can be retrieved without having to manipulate the handle. Easy to hold by hand, this descender represents a simple and effective alternative to traditional descenders.

Description
Ease and speed of use:
- Easy installation of the rope, thanks to the guide and the indicative markings.
- Ergonomic handle that allows you to free the rope and comfortably control the descent.
- Two possible descent modes: on the side plate or on the V-brake throat.
- AUTO-LOCK system that allows quick positioning, without having to manipulate the handle or make a blocking key: as soon as the user releases the handle, the rope is automatically locked in the device. The automatic retraction of the handle limits the risks of unintentional snagging.
- Once locked, the rope can be retrieved without having to manipulate the handle, which makes it possible for example to make short ascents on the rope easily (by adding a FOOTAPE pedal and an ASCENSION locking handle).
- The cam can be easily manipulated to retrieve the rope.
- It has a locking trigger on the mobile side plate that allows the rope to be installed, keeping the device connected to the harness, which facilitates the passage of splitting.
- Automatic transfer of the handle to the storage position when the rope is removed from the device, which reduces the risk of unintentional hooking when the descender is carried in the harness.
Stainless steel protection reinforcement in the rope friction area, which increases resistance to wear and tear.
