ANSI HIGH SPEED BALLISTIC TESTING V0 / IMPACT
The frames and lenses of the Wiley X ballistic goggles must withstand the impact of a 6.35 mm diameter steel bullet fired at 164.6 km / h (ANSI) or 3.8 mm projectiles fired at 700-720 km / h (ballistic lens VO). The goggles must resist 5.56mm projectiles fired at a speed of 594-612 km / h. This ensures that our lenses and frames are virtually indestructible.
These ballistic goggles are a high performance tactical complement to Heckler & Koch products.
ANSI LARGE MASS IMPACT TEST
ANSI tested Wiley X frames and lenses must withstand the weight of a 500 gram projectile tip that is dropped from a height of 127 cm. This test practically guarantees that they will endure whatever they come up against.
STANDARDS EN.166
EN.166S (SAFETY GLASSES): The frame and lenses must withstand the impact of a 43 gram steel ball that is dropped from a height of 1.3 meters at a speed of 18 km / h. The lens must remain in the frame and must not break. The mount must remain intact as well.
EN.166F (SAFETY GLASSES): The frame and lenses must withstand the impact of a 6 mm steel ball and a weight of 0.86 grams fired at 162 km / h. The lenses must remain in the frame and must not break. The mount must remain intact as well.
EN.166B (SAFETY GLASSES): The frame and lenses must withstand the impact of a 6 mm steel ball with a weight of 0.86 grams fired at 432 km / h. The lenses must remain in the frame and must not break. The mount must remain intact as well.
PERFORMANCE
All Wiley X models are ANSI and EN.166 certified except for Young Force® designs, which are ASTM F803 rated. We test and mark all of our frames and lenses with the appropriate ANSI and EN.166 markings.
